The Onne-Eh Alesa and Paramount Ruler of Alesa Clan in Eleme Local Government Area in Rivers State, His Royal Highness, Sir Dr. Emperor J. D. Nkpe JP says the existing relationship between his community and the Nigerian Army would be sustained.

HRH Nkpe said this when he led members of his cabinet on a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Jamal Abdulsalam at Bori Camp, Port Harcourt.

He stated that this improved rapprochement between the traditional institution and the Army was critical to deepening security at the grassroots.

The monarch said this has become imperative following the assumption of the new GOC, calling for consultation and collaboration to ensure the communities in the State are safe for residents and fo4 businesses to thrive.

Commending the efforts of the Nigerian Army in maintaining peace in Alesa Clanm the reverred Monarch noted that this was made possible by the good relationship with the Army.

He reaffirmed his continuous desire to collaborate with the Army in ensuring peace and stability within his domain.

On his part, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Jamal Abdulsalam expressed satisfaction with the efforts of the Monarch in support of the Army.

He pledged to reciprocate the visit whilie commending the Monarch and his entourage for the visit.

High point of the visit was the presentation of stickers produced by the One-Eh Alesa in support of millitary operations to the GOC.
