Well! The Mbappé/PSG/ Real Madrid talks are flying again, not like they ever landed. It has been a roller coaster sprinkled with desperation and betrayal but it depends on how you look at it.

There has been a great deal of concern from Paris Saint-German, as regards Kylian Mbappé’s future at the club.

Just when it looked like a contract extension was in the cards for the youngster, the cards flipped on its head. Well! What is a transfer window without the saga?

Talks of the Frenchman’s exit surfaced heavily in June following his refusal to extend his contract and a possible move to Real Madrid. Fast forward to Thursday, July 20, talks made the rounds that the French outfit made a staggering contract offer to Kylian Mbappe worth €1 billion (£865m/$1.1bn) in a 10-year contract.

Barely 24 hours later, Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, revealed that Paris Saint-Germain was convinced that Kylian Mbappé has already agreed on terms to join Real Madrid in 2024 on a free deal, adding that Mbappe is out of the pre-season tour and considered for sale.

“PSG feel betrayed as they’re certain Kylian has already agreed a free transfer with Real Madrid.

This despite Mbappé in interviews said he’d never leave PSG for free.

Recent reports posit that Kylian Mbappé is still in regular training with the other players left out of the pre-season tour.
