It was a sensational weekend for Nigeria’s top attacking talents across Europe’s major leagues, as both Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman produced decisive performances to lead their respective clubs to victory.
In the Turkish Süper Lig, Victor Osimhen was the undisputed star of the show, driving Galatasaray to a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory over Göztepe at RAMS Park.

Early Advantage: Álex Baena set the tone for the visitors, converting a 4th-minute pass from Kang-In Lee.
Lookman Strikes: In the 26th minute, Lookman found pockets of space inside the penalty area to latch onto a pass from Pablo Barrios and slot a precise finish into the bottom left corner, doubling Atletico’s cushion.
Complete Control: Baena added a stunning long-range effort minutes later, and despite a second-half consolation strike from Sevilla’s Miguel Sierra, Atletico cruised to victory.
Lookman put in an impactful 66-minute shift before being subbed off for Arnau Ortiz. The fixture also featured a Nigerian clash, as Chidera Ejuke entered the match in the 56th minute for Sevilla, though he was unable to turn the tide for the home side.
