Jack-Manilla Pepple House Commission Opuwari, Immortalize Ancestor with Statue Unveiling
The Jack-Manilla Pepple Chieftaincy House of Bonny Kingdom has commissioned its Opuwari (townhall) and unveiled the statue of its founder and ancestor, late Chief Gboboitemegha Ncheke Jack Manilla-Pepple.
Both events took place on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Olom-Abalama (Oguede) in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State.


Prelate of the Christ Army Church Nigeria (CACN), His Eminence, The Most Reverend Dappa Opubo Abbey (JP), commissioned the Opuwari, while the Vice Chairman of Bonny Chiefs Council (BCC), Se-Alabo Haniel Tamunoiwarisoma Jack-Wilson Pepple performed the unveiling of the statue.
In their separate speeches, the cleric and traditional ruler commended the Jack-Manilla Pepple House for its forthrightness, progressive disposition and intentionality in driving development, repositioning itself for advancement while immortalizing the memory of its founder.





The Most Revd Abbey prayed for unstoppable progress, harmonious relationship and sustainable serenity in the community, while admonishing the Chief and Head of the House, Se-Alabo Iganima Jack-Manilla Pepple, and his people to continue trusting in God Almighty in their dealings.
Se-Alabo Jack-Wilson Pepple extolled the late founder of the House, reminiscing on his achievements and exploits during his lifetime, while expressing optimism that his statue would stand as a reminder to his offspring of the values he represented while alive.

In his remarks, the Chief and Head of the House, Se-Alabo Iganima Jack-Manilla Pepple attributed the successes achieved by the House since he assumed headship of the House to God Almighty.
He recounted how God Almighty has been helping the House in its efforts at navigating challenges that have faced it in recent times, noting that even the construction of the Opuwari was only possible because of divine help which the House has received.
In attendance at the event were members of the Bonny Chiefs Council; Se-Alabo Evans Brown, Se-Alabo Adiesigha Halliday, Se-Alabo Benjamin Ada Allison, Se-Alabo Rufus Jekey Green, and Se-Alabo Golden Christy-Wilcox.
Other dignitaries include the Deputy Leader, Lawrence Idasoalabo, and other members of the Bonny Legislative Assembly, titled citizens of Bonny Kingdom, captains of industry, and community leaders, amongst others.
