Kelechi Iheanacho Nets Late Winner as Celtic Beat Hibernian to Stay in Title Race
Super Eagles star Kelechi Iheanacho made a decisive impact off the bench, scoring the match-winning goal as Celtic FC secured a 2–1 victory over Hibernian FC at Easter Road on Sunday.

Celtic looked in control before the break when Daizen Maeda finished from close range to give the visitors the lead just before halftime.
Hibernian Fight Back Before the Break
The home side responded almost immediately, with Joe Newell finding the equaliser deep into first-half stoppage time to restore parity and shift momentum heading into the interval.
Introduced in the 70th minute for Yang Hyun-jun, Iheanacho wasted little time making his mark.
Iheanacho Delivers Instant Impact
The Nigerian forward struck just two minutes after coming on, sealing the win with a clinical finish that ultimately proved decisive.

The goal takes his tally to seven across all competitions this season, proving why he shouldn’t be left out of Eric Chelle’s squad for Unity Cup 2026.
Celtic, managed by Martin O’Neill, remain second in the standings, level on points with the league leaders, who still hold a game in hand in the tightly contested title race.
