His brilliance also earned him the Man of the Match award, though his team is still searching for their first win of the campaign.

Mixed Results for Abdullahi at Jong Gent

Over in the Belgium Challenge League, Abubakar Abdullahi experienced a mixed bag of emotions.

The 20-year-old winger was clinical for Jong Gent, scoring the opening goal in their Round 29 clash against Lommel.

His strike helped the home side build a comfortable 2-0 lead early in the second half at the Planet Group Arena.

Despite his efficiency—having the fewest touches on the pitch while remaining a constant threat—Jong Gent could not hold the lead.

Lommel fought back with two late goals, including a 90th-minute equaliser, to end the game in a 2-2 draw.
