A former Caretaker Committee Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Charles Jumbo says the honour done him by the Win Institute for Gender Studies (WIGS) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) was an big inspiration for him and would spur him to do more for the development of Bonny Kingdom.
Jumbo was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Gender Management by WIGS, a Lagos based leadership, management, and business training institution for women and youths.
The former Bonny CTC boss, an Ambassador of Peace, who said this today in an online chat with Kristina Reports, expressed delight over the award of prestigious degree.
He thanked the organizers for a successful event and for finding him worthy of being conferred with such a impressive award, noting that it was a recognition of his efforts at improving the lives of the people, especially men and women.
Charles Jumbo, who is also the Secretary of the Bonny LGA chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), dedicated the award to his lovely wife and children, and the good people of Bonny LGA, pointing out without their support his term in office as CTC Chairman would not have been impactful.
He expressed deep appreciation to the people of the area, his party faithful, and leaders of the State for their sustained support, which has earned him the investiture of the recognition by WIGS, saying he would continue to do more for society and Bonny Kingdom in particular.
He further stated that the award will motivate him to do more for the development of society and the advancement of humanity, adding that “the venue of the summit is an added advantage that would spur me to bring it to bear in my kingdom, Bonny LGA.
