The Paramount Ruler of Ebubu Community in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State, His Royal Highness, King Emere Godwin Yorgba Chinwi, Emere Odido, Oneh-Eh Eta Ebubu XIV, has appealed to Governor Siminalayi Fubara to appoint worthy indigenes of Ebubu into his cabinet.
King Chinwi, who made this appeal during an exclusive interview with Kristina Reports in his palace at Egbalor-Ebubu, Eleme LGA, Rivers State, stated that such appointments would give the community a sense of inclusivity in his administration.
The revered monarch, who retired as a Director in the Rivers State Civil Service, revealed that Ebubu has notable sons with established reputation and competence to embellish the Fubara led administration with requisite deliverables.
While extolling the Governor for the reconstruction of the Aleto-Ebubu-Eteo (old Bori) Road, the monarch pointed out to Fubara that appointing Ebubu sons and daughters into positions of trust will not only give Ebubu people a sense of inclusivity but help draw government attention to address other issues within the community.
Checks by Kristina Reports revealed that Ebubu Ward 4, which is the largest ward in Eleme LGA, has never had a member of the State Executive Council, Local Government Chairman or member of the National Assembly despite being home to notable personalities who have contributed immensely to the State and nation’s development.
These include Fortune Oguru; a former Permanent Secretary, Government House, Port Harcourt, Professor Ndowa Lale; a former Vice Chancellor, University of Port Harcourt, Choba, as well as Justice Chichi, a former Chairman of the Nigerian Legion, Rivers State Command, amongst several others.
Incidentally, Ebubu sons and daughter form a critical mass of the increasing population of notable supporters of the Siminalayi Fubara led administration in Rivers State.
