As the days reduce to hours on the road to the crescendo of the Bonny Graduates Forum elections, it is clear that the new dispensation in the forum would witness a paradigm shift with the coming onboard of ace journalist and community interface, Thayibat Tamunoipirinye George-Pepple.

Pepple, who is contesting for the position of Financial Secretary in the BGF, is the Social Contact Lead for Kristina Reports, a member of Kristina Reports Chapter of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) and a member of the Kristina Reports Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

Aside her forays into Journalism, Pepple is also the Community Liaison Officer (CLO) of FMX Integrated Services Limited (a subsidiary of XL Africa Group), a Project and Facilities Management, as well as, Construction Services firm working on the NLNG Complex in Bonny Island.

An alumnus of the University of Port Harcourt, Choba, Port Harcourt, from where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Linguistics and Communications Studies, Ipirinye, as she is popularly called, also has Bereton College and Emarid College, both in Port Harcourt, and Government School, Bonny as her alma mater.

Thayibat Tamunoipirinye Pepple has also been strong on the home front where she has served as a one-time Assistant Youth Secretary and currently a youth executive of the King Perekule Royal House.

This is aside her religious commitments at the Living Faith Church, aka, Winners Chapel where she serves as Secretary of the Technical Unit of the church at its headquarters in Bonny Island.

Back in the Bonny Graduates Forum 9BGF), she has served meritoriously in different roles including Electoral Committee member in 2021, and member, Award/Dinner Planning Committee.

The thinking is that her intimidating resume may have scared off other contestants for the position as she set to be returned unopposed as Financial Secretary of the professional body of Bonny indigenes both home and abroad.

The elections, which are expected to bring onboard a new leadership for the body, are billed to hold on Sunday, July 9, 2023 in Bonny Island.
