Energy and Maritime Reporters (EMR) Corps has expressed it desire to deepen its partnership with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the discharge of its statutory mandate of protecting national assets and lives and properties of citizens.
Chairman of EMR, Martins Giadom came out with this while welcoming the new Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Rivers State Command of the NSCDC, Deputy Superintendent Olufemi Ayodeji Ayodele, who takes over from Assistant Commandant Akin Michael Oguntuase.
He described EMR as the Command’s “partners in progress”, explaining that EMR consists of journalists spread across different Media organizations who report the Oil and Gas, as well as, the Maritime Sectors of the nation’s economy.
Giadom said EMR was looking forward to sustaining the existing relationship between the command and EMR, calling on all stakeholders to continue to cooperate with the new Commandant and his spokesman to enable the NSCDC achieve its mandate of protecting critical national assets.
The change of guard in the Public Relations Department of the State Command was coming on the heels of a recent redeployment of Commandant Abu Tambawal as the new State Commander, who had already taken over at the State Command.
