It has come to the knowledge of the Bonny Chiefs’ Council that on the 12th day of January, 2022 some persons from the Brown Chieftaincy House in Finima purportedly installed one Engr. Dagogo Lambert Brown as “Chief and Head of Bouye Omuso Brown Chieftaincy House and Amadabo of Finima”.

The Bonny Chiefs’ Council is the undisputed and authentic custodian of the tradition, custom and culture of the people of Bonny and therefore is in a position to define and explain the custom and tradition of our people.

The inglorious actions of a handful of some persons of the Brown Chieftaincy House is not only a deliberate ploy to rewrite history but an insidious attempt to balkanize and cause strive in a peaceful Bonny Kingdom.

For the avoidance of doubts and for the knowledge of all and sundry, the Bonny Chiefs’ Council hereby state as follows:

1. There is no Chieftaincy House in Bonny Kingdom known as ‘’Bouye Omuso Brown Chieftaincy House’’ such House does not exist. The true and authentic name of the House is Brown (Chieftaincy) House. A group of persons therefore cannot create a Chieftaincy House of their own within bonny Kingdom and expect it to stand. All existing 34 Chieftaincy Houses which include the Brown House are creation of the Perekule Dynasty.
2. The procedure for capping and installation of a Chief-Elect of Brown Chieftaincy House and his presentation to Amanyanabo for recognition and acceptance as a Chief of Bonny Kingdom (Se-Alabo) has followed established tradition and custom. This is not the case in the purported installation of Engr. Dagogo Lambert Brown. The peculiar tradition of having a Chief of Brown Chieftaincy House, capped and presented to the Amanyanabo by the Chief of Captain Hart House was completely overlooked, ignored or neglected.
3. The bogus title of ‘’Aseme’’ arrogated to Engr. Lambert Dagogo Brown is a laughable creation of the harbingers of evil. No such title ever existed. No Chief of Brown House has been installed or recognized by any of these titles or appellation, starting with the first Chief of the House, Buoye Omuso Brown. We understand that the inordinate ambition of men and their insatiable thirst for power and recognition could lead them to do the unimaginable and unthinkable things. Regrettably, this is what is happening among some persons in the Brown Chieftaincy House today.
4. The Brown Chieftaincy House is among the 14 Major Houses of Bonny Kingdom. The Brown Chieftaincy House though the only Major House in Finima has no and has not had Sub-House(s). In other words, the Tobin and Attoni Chieftaincy Houses are not and cannot be said to be Sub-Houses to the Brown Chieftaincy House. Such claims are unfounded and malicious.
5. The title of “Amadabo” is an aberration and unheard of in Bonny Kingdom. No Chief or anyone else has ever been installed, called, recognized or addressed by the title of “Amadabo” either in Finima which is part of Bonny Kingdom or any other part of the Kingdom. Engr. Dagogo Lambert Brown is not and cannot be the “Amadabo” of Finima. From inception of Finima (old Finima ) to the relocation of the three Chieftaincy Houses in the present Finima Town, Bonny, no such title has ever existed. Therefore, the pronouncement of Engr. Dagogo Lambert Brown and those who feathered his non-existing cap is an affront to the Throne of Bonny Kingdom. Their action is nothing else but a calculated invitation to anarchy.

The Bonny Chiefs’ Council therefore draws the attention of the Government and all Security Agencies to take notice of the action of Engr. Dagogo Lambert Brown and those behind him.

The macabre dance as was noticed in the Brown House Opuwari on the 12th day of January, 2022 is a complete farce. It cannot stand. The Bonny Chiefs’ Council unequivocally condemns in its entirety the purported installation of Eng. Dagogo Lambert Brown. It is a shameful act and we dissociate from it.

The Bonny Chiefs’ Council hereby calls on the general public to completely discountenance the sacrilegious pronouncements and actions of some persons from the Brown Chieftaincy House, including any other thing associated with them.

The general public is enjoined to go about their lawful business as we plead with the citizens of Bonny Kingdom to maintain the peace. The multinational companies and other corporate organizations are advised not to give recognition to this ugly creation of some persons in the Brown Chieftaincy House.

Bonny Kingdom is one entity under the reign of one Monarch, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, CON, JP, Perekule XI, Natural Ruler and Amanyanabo of Bonny Kingdom.
