Leader of the Bonny Youth Federation (BYF), Anthony Banigo has applauded the excellence, effervescence and passion exuded by young men and women indigent to Bonny Kingdom in diverse workplaces around the world where they are opportuned to work.
In a felicitation message he personally signed and made exclusively available to Kristina Reports on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 in Bonny, Rivers State to commemorate the 2024 May Day celebration, the BYF Leader praised workers the world over for “what they to make society better”.
“Workers are the centre of all developmental and progressive efforts at making society good and their invaluable contributions cannot be downplayed or overemphasized.”
“The various strata of society must therefore intentional recognize and celebrate workers on this auspicious day provided by the global community and accord them the praise, commendation and encouragement commensurate with what they do to make society better.”
He stated that youths of Bonny Kingdom have always distinguished themselves in various professions in different parts of the world where they pursuit of their ambitions take them, noting that the creativity, resourcefulness and passion they bring to their individual work environments have always distinguished them.
“I will not fail to commend His Majesty, the King for the encouragement and support he has continued to accord our youths which has served ot propel them to greater heights both at home and in the Diaspora.”
He called on government at all levels, business owners and other stakeholders to make concerted efforts to improve the working conditions workers have to grapple with, appealing for “increased wages, better welfare packages and rewarding retirement plans”.
