Ricardo Security Services Limited, a private security firm, has reiterated its commitment to continue to partner with relevant security agencies to protect critical national assets and ensure the lives and properties of citizens are secured.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Richard Abbey stated this on Thursday, May 25, 2023 shortly after the presentation operational licenses to new private guard companies by the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Audi at the Dr. Ade Abolurin Auditorium, NSCDC National Headquarters, Sauka, Abuja.

“At the end of the day, whether you’re private or government owned security outfit, what’s important is that lives and properties of the people are protected from harm or damage.”

“So, we hope to continue work with the NSCDC, Police and other security agencies to ensure that wherever we work, assets belonging to the country and its people are protected. Sometimes, the government agencies can’t do everything, that’s where we come in to assist.”

He said the presentation of an operational license to Ricardo Security Services Limited represents a watershed in the company’s strides in providing professional security services in different parts of the country, noting that this would bolster its drive to upscale its service offerings to its clientele.

“You know the environment we have been serving different clients, it’s a very tricky terrain but we have done well; that’s why I see this license as something divides the line between where we were before and where we would be going from this point.”

“With this license in the box, we can now entrench excellence in our service delivery, we can do a lot more now to satisfy our clients’ needs and expand what we can do in diverse aspects of security management.

The presentation of the licenses was coordinated by the Private Guard Companies (PGC) Department of the NSCDC. The licenses give full permission to the various beneficiary companies to operate within the ambit of the law regarding private security services.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) had earlier this year disclosed that it has licensed 1,364 private guard companies (PGCs) between 2003 and now.

It further disclosed that these private guard companies have recruited over two million private guards that had assisted in providing grassroots intelligence report and security in the country, thus generating employment for teeming youths of the country.
