Acting Commanding Officer of the 760 Transport Battalion, Major Almustapha Adams, quickly mobilized and led the 6 Division Fire Crew to the site.
With the cooperation of other sister agencies, the crew swiftly took control of the situation, ensuring all safety measures were enforced.
The area was cordoned off, and preventive drills were carried out to avoid any fire outbreak. Thankfully, no lives were lost, and no property was damaged.
This rapid and effective response underscores the Nigerian Army’s commitment to strengthening Civil-Military relations and supporting local communities.
The General Officer Commanding, 6 Division, Major General Jamal Abdussalam, praised the troops for their timely intervention.
He reassured residents of Rivers State that the Division remains dedicated to people-focused operations, in line with the directive of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja.
