Miami Heat has taken a 1 – 0 lead in the series against Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals whom they meet for the third time in four years.

With the Heats winning game 1 by 123 – 116 on Wednesday night at the TD Garden, Bam Adebayo, Gabriel Nnamdi Vincent and the injured Victor Oladipo are three wins away from the finals, but it is easier said than done.

Bam Adebayo against the Celtics on Wednesday.

Bam Adebayo, Heat centre played an essential role in the win against Celtics.

In a post-game interview, Bam pointed out that he is a “phenomenal passer”, adding that he not only makes extra passes, but makes the right plays and the right reads, which he has proven on the court on numerous occasions.

Bam scored 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists.

D’Tigers’ Gabe Vincent, on the other hand, finished with 15 points which included an important 3-pointer in the fourth quarter to end Celtics seven point shooting spree. He also added three rebounds and two assists.

Gabriel Vincent

As it stands, Vincent is the only D’Tigers left in the 2023 NBA playoffs with Josh Okogie and Chimezie Metu both out of the competition.

The possibility of a sweep is not exactly feasible for Miami Heat, given the calibre of the Boston Celtics team. Good thing, however, is that it is the best of seven series – but a win on the road going into the series, sure would be a morale booster.

Victor Oladipo

The No. 8-seeded Heat has now opened all three playoff series with road victories.

They are the fifth team to open with road wins in each of their first three series, joining the 2021 Hawks, 1999 Knicks, 1989 Bulls and 1981 Rockets.

The Knicks were the only other No. 8 seed to make the conference finals. According to ESPN. Game 2 would take place in Boston on Friday night.
