Rivers State First Lady, Suzzette Nyesom-Wike, acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Professor Nelson Brambaifa, oil tycoon and Chairman, Platform Petroleum Limited, Dumo Lulu-Briggs, Dumo Lulu-Briggs, and security czar and former Executive Director of the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA), Larry Pepple, are among those to be honoured with the Golden Education Support Award by the Rugged Steps Foundation for African Youths Development (RSFAYD) this weekend.
RSFAYD is a nongovernmental organization at the forefront of disability advocacy, civic education, improving the living standards of the African woman and youth, and the disenfranchised in society.
It has Rivers State born social rights advocate, Prince Kalada Oko-Jaja as the visioner and Executive Director.
According to the organizers, the Golden Education Support Award is in recognition of individuals, CSOs, FBOs, and other organizations that have created platforms to support young people go to school through scholarships and advocacy on child rights including creating special centres where young people, especially, the abused have been given prompt and adequate attention and the culprits brought to justice.
The award presentation ceremony, where Justice Nyesom-Wike will also be conferred with the prestigious award of Child Rights Ambassador 2019, is billed to hold on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt.
The Eze Oha Evo of the Ancient Kingdom of Evo and Ogbuga of Woji Community in Port Harcourt, HRM Eze Dr. Amb. Chike Bobby Ogbonda, and his wife, Queen Jennifer Ogbonda, will also be conferred with Personality of the Year award at the event.
Also to be honoured at well-publicized event are the Chief Executive Officer of Belema Oil, Dr Jack-rich Tein Jr, the lawmaker representing Asari-Toru Constituency 2 in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Enemi Alabo George, Mayor of Port Harcourt, Victor Ihunwo, veteran Nollywood actress, Hilda Dokubo, legendary educationist and Proprietress, Butterstone International School, Victoria Sergeant-Awuse, and former lawmaker representing Port Harcourt Constituency 3 in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Victoria Nyeche.
Others include the Executive Director, Finance and Administration of the NDDC, Chris Amadi, Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dakuku Peterside, Film producer par excellence, Yibo Koko, Media mogul, Ibim Seminatari, Chief Executive Officer, Cinchid Catering Services, Chidi Amede, Chairman, Steph Piotti Charity Foundation, Stefano Piotti, and Nollywood actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima.
