Sustain Legacy of Excellence – Needham School Proprietor Charges Graduands at 6th Graduation, Award Ceremony

The Proprietor of Needham International School, Eneka, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Ernest Chapp-Jumbo has charged graduands to sustain the legacy of excellence the institution has imbued in them.

Chapp-Jumbo gave this charge on Saturday, July 27, 2024, during the 6th Annual Graduation and Award Giving Ceremony for the School at Eneka in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

He expressed satisfaction and joy over this year’s event, noting that despite all the challenges facing the country which the school is not an exception to, they were still able to achieve their goals.

“Wherever they go, they should be good ambassadors of Needham International School and also represent their families in good light and try to excel in whatever calling they find themselves, to be engaged in.”

“Those who left, who graduated last year, a lot of them are in the higher institutions, the same thing I expect from this set that graduated today and those that are yet to graduate who are still with us here.”

“I urge them to continue to excel in their studies such that the final year they will not find it difficult to pass the senior schools examinations and graduate.”

He noted the milestones achieved by the School, asserting that the trajectory of excellence will continue to scale up, expressing his appreciation to the parents while appealing to them to continue to fulfill their obligations to the school to enable it sustain the optimum service it has been rendering to their children.

“There’s been a lot of challenges between last year’s graduation and this present one, mostly from the fall out of the economy. The school is not an exception. We’re praying the economy improves despite the respite and parents should be able to meet their obligations to the school.”

Academically we have achieved a lot, we’re on the NECO, WACE açredition list and we hope that we continue to excel both academically, morally, and socially as a school and that we impact our pupils positively years to come”.

Pupils and students of Needham International School celebrated the profound accomplishment of their beloved graduates at the event which was marked by excitement and vibrant funfair.

Gorgeously dressed in their finest attires, the pupils and students, alongside their parents, invited guests enjoyed a delightful atmosphere of music, presentations, and engaging competitions.

The children took turns to express their gratitude to the school management for organising such a memorable event which served as a well deserved break following a demanding academic year.

Appreciation awards were given to parents who have contributed to making the day a success as well as those who were prompt in the payment of their wards’ tuition fees.

In separate interviews with Kristina Reports, some of the parents, especially, parents of the graduating pupils and students, expressed their appreciations to the school’s management, stating that the day’s event has created an opportunity for parents to connect with one another and interact with the teaching staff.

They called on the school management to continue hosting award events like this as they inspire students to engage in academic competitions in pursuit of recognition.

A parent of one of the graduands, who only identified herself as Rachael, expressed immense joy in the achievement of her ward, saying “I am happy, I am happy my son is graduating from Needham International School. So, I am happy today.”

“The school is trying; they are trying to bring up children. My son started this school from JSS 1 till end of it. We do not have any mistake; we do not have any problem.”

Another parent, Mrs. Osborne stated that “if you know you want the best for your child, and you know you want quality education then come to Needham International School.”

“It should be your best bet, it should be your best option, because what I see here is quality. They have good teachers, good environment and everything is perfect. I want to see you next session.”

Senior Prefect of Needham International School, Emmanuel Boms expressed his joy at graduating, saying, “my message for you is to focus on the outside world that your going into, things there are dangerous and do not forget put God first in all you do and focus”.
