As part of fallouts of the recent Supreme Court judgment that nullified the October 5, 2024 local government elections in Rivers State, the State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) has indicated its readiness to commence processes leading to a repeat of the local government elections.

RSIEC gave this indication today in a statement signed by its Chairman, Justice Adolphus Enebeli (Rtd), stating that this is in compliance with the outcome of the Supreme Court’s verdict.
