No Chairman Has Done What You Are Doing – Ag PDP Chairman Applauds Tobin

“No chairman in Okrika has done what you have done. You are replicating what the Executive Governor is doing.”

With these words, the acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Chukwuemeka Aaron extolled the performance of the Chairman of Okrika Local Government Area of the State, Akuro Tobin.

He made this statement on Friday, December 22, 2023 during the commissioning of the Administrative Block and Supervisors’ offices in Okrika, Rivers State.

Applauding the efforts of the Okrika Council boss at mainstreaming development in his domain, the PDP leader asserted that Rivers State remains a PDP state, advising residents not to be deceived by the rivalry going on between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and the State Governor.

On his part, the Chairman of Okrika LGA, Akuro Tobin promised to follow the footstep of his principals to continually commission more projects.

“I will continue to embark on projects that will stand as dividends in all the 12 wards in Okrika. I have adopted the principle of inye ndeba, inye ndeba because they voted for me, I will continue to commission project.”

Also speaking, Chairman of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Rivers Chapter, Clifford Boms thanked the Chairman for the project, saying it is a clear indication that he has the workers at heart, assuring the Chairman of increased productivity by the workforce.

A former Commissioner for Health in Rivers State, Dr. Sampson Parker stated that Okrikans are known as people of their word and the Ag. Chairman has proven this stand as a signatory to the developmental strides of the LG Chairman, assuring of their unwavering support for the government and party.

Notable personalities who graced the occasion include a member of the House of Representatives, Allison Anderson, former Commissioner for Special Projects, Deinma Iyalla, Amanyanabo of Okochiri, His Royal Highness, King Ateke Michael Tom, who unveiled the symbol of occupation, amongst others.
