As the nation commemorates International Workers’ Day, Woman Leader of Bonny Kingdom, Amaopuorubo Helen Jack-Wilson Pepple has extended her heartfelt felicitations to workers across Nigeria, with a special tribute to the hardworking women of Bonny Kingdom.
In a statement released on Wednesday, she applauded the resilience, dignity, and strength of Nigerian workers, particularly women who balance the demands of the workplace, family, and community leadership.

“To every woman and man whose hands build, whose minds solve, and whose hearts serve, I celebrate you. Your labour, often silent and unseen, is the foundation of progress in our homes, communities, and country,” she said.
Amaopuorubo Pepple emphasized that the spirit of hard work and community service has always been part of the Bonny heritage, and she called on all leaders to do more in protecting and empowering those whose contributions sustain the society.
She commended the women of Bonny for their tireless efforts across sectors, from education and healthcare to trade, civil service, and cultural preservation, urging them never to underestimate their influence in shaping the future of the Kingdom and Nigeria at large.
She also encouraged government institutions and community leaders to strengthen support systems that ensure fair pay, safe working environments, and opportunities for growth, especially for women and youth.
As the nation pauses to honour its workforce, Amaopuorubo Helen Jack-Wilson Pepple reaffirmed her commitment to advocacy and inclusive leadership that uplifts the everyday worker.
