Martins-Brown Hails New Bonny LG Chairman, Vice Chairman, Pepple, Alabere on Electoral Victory, Inauguration

Respected community leader and technocrat, Sir Tammy Martins-Brown, KGB, has extended his warm congratulations to Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple and Hon. Ibinyefagha Alabere on their inauguration as Chairman and Vice Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Sir Martins-Brown, who is the Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward 5, Finima in Bonny LGA, issued his message of felicitation on Monday, September 1, 2025 via a statement he exclusively made available to Kristina Reports in Bonny, Rivers State.

“Congratulations on your election victory as the Executive Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, alongside your running mate and my sister, Ibinyefagha Alabere.”  

He described their election and subsequent swearing-in as a well-deserved honour, urging them to see the mandate as a reflection of the general acceptability of the people, and an opportunity to serve the people of Bonny with dedication and fairness.

“This achievement reflects the general acceptability of the people and trust we place on your leadership, vision and commitment.”  

“We are confident that under your leadership, Bonny will move forward devoid of sentiment with purpose, unity, integrity and rapid development in social amenities, infrastructure and human capacity development.”

“This is a proud moment for Bonny Kingdom. “Your leadership marks the beginning of a new chapter, and I am confident that both of you will rise to the responsibility with courage and wisdom. The people’s trust in you is a call to action, and I believe you will deliver.”

Martins-Brown, who is the immediate past Chairman of the Asawo of Buoye Omuso Brown Major House (BOBH) of Finima, added that the duo’s leadership would open fresh opportunities for youth, create lasting development, and strengthen peace and unity across communities in Bonny.

“Congratulations on this milestone. I wish you a successful tenure filled with impactful achievements for our land,” Martins-Brown concluded.

“We wish you strength, wisdom and success as you take on this very important role. You have our full support.”

With more than 17 years of professional experience in the construction and oil and gas sectors, Tammy Martins-Brown has worked in health and safety, community relations, administration, local content, and human resources where he has exuded exceptional acumen, competence and discretion.

Beyond his career, the ex-BOBH Asawo Chairman, who holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Employment Relations and Human Resource Management, is passionate about organisational growth and mentoring young people.

A graduate of Business Management from the University of Uyo, Martins-Brown is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administration (FCIA), Fellow, Institute of Management Consultant (FIMC). an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (ACIPM), and a member of the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management (CIHRM), among several other professional bodies.
