As she brought her campaign to grand crescendo, chairmanship candidate of the Action People Party (APP) for Bonny Local Government Area in the forthcoming local government elections in Rivers State, Anengi Claude-Wilcox says the people of Bonny deserve good governance not vestiges of greed.

Claude-Wilcox said this on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the grand finale of her campaign at the Queen Kambasa Square in Bonny, Rivers State.

She promised that when voted back into office she would scale up her performance beyond the what the people her do in the past three years when she had to serve out the tenure of her erstwhile boss, David Irimagha, who is now demised.

The APP candidate urged the electorates to prove ownership of votes by voting APP all through for both chairmanship and councillorship candidates in the forthcoming polls, stressing that would entitle them to good governance and dividends of democracy.

She equally took a swipe at her former party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which she described as a “tattered umbrella”, saying that elephant which is the symbol of the Action Peoples Party (APP) has taken over.

Attributing tattered and torn state of the umbrella party to the greed and self-centredness of its current leadership in the State, she appealed supporters of the party to join their leader in Abuja and leave Rivers State to witness the new wave of progress and prosperity blowing across the State being orchestrated by the incumbent governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

The effervescent and energetic candidate who in the course of campaigns in the past one week traversed the 12 wards of Bonny LGA, assured the electorates that the emergence of the APP signifies an era of the people where their concerns, welfare and security would be on the front burner of governance.

She, therefore, urged them to come out on Saturday enmasse as all obstructions to the election have been vigorously trampled upon.

Solidarity speeches were made by stakeholders of the APP including a former Commissioner for Women Affairs in Rivers State, Toru Offili, all affirming their resolve to massively elect all APP candidates in the election and stand for progress of Rivers State devoid of oppression.
