Lawmaker Assures Bonny People Of Sustained Robust Representation

The lawmaker representing Bonny Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Abinye Pepple has assured his constituents of sustained representation that is robust and effective.

 

Pepple further assured that the next four years would be for consolidating on his ongoing programmes in the areas of human capital development, community based interventions, scholarship schemes, economic empowerment, and people-oriented legislation, amongst other initiatives.

 

He gave this assurance today during a reception in his honour shortly after his inauguration, alongside 31 other members of the State House of Assembly, inside the hallowed chambers of the state assembly complex in Port Harcourt.

 

According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Electronic Media and Publicity, Kingsley Jumbo, the lawmaker said his successful re-election was “consequent on his outstanding performance as was made manifest and proven via the people’s votes,” stressing that “without your support and votes I won’t be here for the second time”.

 

He expressed appreciation to Governor Nyesom Wike, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Felix Obuah, Amanyanabo of Bonny Kingdom, His Majesty, King Edward Pepple, Perekule XI, Leader of the PDP in Bonny LGA and immediate past Commissioner for Local Governments, Rodaford Longjohn, and Chairman of PDP in Bonny LGA, Simon Hart, among others.

 

He equally conveyed his gratitude to the outgone Special Adviser to the Governor on Sustainable Development, Toru Ofili, stakeholders and members of the PDP in Bonny LGA, religious, cultural, social, political and ethnic groups, and the entire people of Bonny Constituency for their unflinching solidarity, unparalleled support and consistent prayers.

 

In his remarks at the reception attended by the Vice Chairman of Bonny LGA, Anengi Barasua, Leader of the Bonny Legislative Assembly, Miriam Hart, a former CTC Chairman of Bonny LGA, Charles Jumbo, among other dignitaries, the leader of the PDP in Bonny LGA, Rodaford LongJohn enjoined the people to show support and encouragement to those at the helm of affairs today as it could be their turn tomorrow.

He further said that “as you’re growing you’re learning, as you’re learning you’re graduating, as you’re graduating you’re making positive impact in the society”.
