In 4 Years, You’ll See The Value We’ve Brought – Rivers Speaker Says, Commends Media Community for Support

The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Victor Oko-Jumbo says the Siminalayi Fubara led administration in the State is poised to transform the lives of the people through infrastructural revolution and people empowerment.

Oko-Jumbo said this on Thursday, August 23, 2024 when a delegation from Kristina Reports, a virtual news medium based in Port Harcourt, led by its Publisher and Chief Executive Officer, Godswill Jumbo, visited him in his office in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The delegation comprised the Chief Operating Officer and Editorial Lead, Confidence Buradum, Head, Community Reports Desk, Emily Igoerechima, and Partnerships/Collaborations Lead, Katherine Ashaolu.

The Speaker stated that in four years, the people-centred value th administration is keen on delivering to the 23 local government areas of the State, asserting that the focus is to deliver infrastructural projects, empowerment initiatives and strategic governance that is evidence-based.  

Oko-Jumbo commended the unignorable impactful contributions of Kristina Reports, in particular, and the media community in general, to the political stability, economic growth and social development of Rivers State.

He stated that the strategic support of the Media Community to the State Government remains unquantifiable, adding that he is particularly pleased with continuous unwavering support of the Media.

The Speaker, who is the member representing Bonny Constituency in the State Assembly, used the occasion to enumerate the various infrastructural projects and empowerment programmes he has delivered to his constituents in just one year in office.

He averred that this was his own way of giving back to the society, especially, those who committed their time, resources and efforts to his campaign which led to his emergence as Speaker of the State Assembly.
