The Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chijioke Ihunwo has flayed propaganda attempting to associate him to the unfortunate demolition and alleged land grabbing by the people of Rumunduru Community.
Ihunwo came out with this condemnation in reaction to the cry for intervention by residents of Unity Estate in Eneka Community also of Obio/Akpor LGA.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Amadi Eze, the Obio/Akpor LGA chief executive alleged that some individuals have been sponsored to link him to the events surrounding the land dispute involving Eneka and Rumunduru Communities.
He denied any involvement in the court proceedings regarding the land in contention, stressing that he is not privy to the judgment execution.
He noted that the matter primarily involved the Rumunduru traditional leaders, the youth leadership, and the community members.
The Obio/Akpor LGA Chairman urged the public to completely disregard the misinformation, calling for verification of information before accepting it as a fact.


Landlords and residents of Unity Estate, Eneka Community in Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State had raised alarm over the unlawful and inhumane destruction of houses and landed properties in Unity Estate, Eneka by hoodlums and land grabbers.
They called on Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and the Chairman of Obio/Akpor LGA, Chijioke Ihunwo, to come to their rescue and take immediate action against the hoodlums who claimed to be sent by the LGA Chairman, Ambassador Ihunwo, to grab their lands and property.
