Horn Publisher Inducted Into Owerri Legend Lions Club
The publisher of Nigerian Horn Newspaper, Bright Njoku, has been inducted into the Owerri Legend Lions Club in recognition of his contributions to humanitarian service, community development and public enlightenment through journalism.
The induction took place on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, as the club marked the beginning of its new service year with a series of humanitarian activities, including support for newborn babies and nursing mothers at the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri.

According to the organisers, Njoku was recognised for his commitment to promoting social causes and using the media to advance community development, values that align with the humanitarian mission of the Lions Clubs International.
The club’s outreach on the day also saw cash gifts and support packages presented to babies born on July 1 at the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri, as part of its annual community service initiative.

The organisers said the activities reflected the club’s continued commitment to humanitarian service, healthcare support and improving the welfare of vulnerable members of society.
No direct remarks from Njoku or officials of the Owerri Legend Lions Club were included in the official report of the event, and no separate statement was immediately released following the induction.
Lions Clubs International is one of the world’s largest service organisations, with member clubs carrying out projects focused on health, youth empowerment, environmental sustainability, disaster relief and other humanitarian interventions in communities across the globe.
