Former Bonny LGA Chairman Urges Unity and Progress at Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary

The immediate past Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Dame Alabota Hon. Anengi Barasua Claude-Wilcox, DSSRS, JP, has congratulated Nigerians on the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary with a call for unity, resilience, and collective progress.

In her goodwill message, Dame Alabota reflected on Nigeria’s journey since 1960, acknowledging the country’s achievements as well as the challenges it has faced.

She expressed optimism about the future, urging Nigerians to remain steadfast in building a prosperous and united nation.

Dame Alabota also highlighted the importance of celebrating Nigeria’s diversity and harnessing collective strengths to overcome obstacles. “Let us celebrate our diversity and harness our collective strengths to overcome any challenges that lie ahead”.

During her tenure as Chairman of Bonny LGA, she was recognised for her dedication to community development, infrastructural projects, education, and empowerment initiatives that improved the welfare of the people.

Her Independence message resonates with many Nigerians who see the 65th anniversary not only as a time to celebrate but also as a moment to reflect and reaffirm their commitment to the nation’s continued growth and development.
