The purported self-determination drive of a faction of the Brown House of Finima gained traction at the weekend with the inauguration of the Finima Council of Chiefs.
The move, which allegedly was initiated years ago by a former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Rivers State and as the then Chief and Head of the Brown Major Chieftaincy House of Bonny Kingdom, Se-Alabo Israel Amabara Idamieibi Brown, got a step closer to actualization on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Finima in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Sources told Kristina Reports that the move was in reaction to his purported suspension from the Bonny Chiefs Council for an undisclosed issue. With his stooge now in charge, the idea was reportedly resuscitated and being pursued vigorously.
On that day, in an action viewed widely across the Ibani ethnic nationality as an audacious mutiny against the Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of Bonny Kingdom, the Amadabo of Finima, His Royal Highness, Aseme Alabo Dagogo Lambert Brown, Kongo XVII, who is reportedly an ardent student of Se-Alabo Idamieibi Brown, inducted nine persons into the Finima Council of Chiefs.
They include Reginald Ayi Brown, Diari Brown-Adasa, Leonard Athanasius Brown, Tamunobere Philip Brown, Inima Dickson Brown, Airigha Christopher Brown, Amoni Hart-Brown, Tuwonimi Eugene Iyariari, and Vincent Atemie Brown, who were upon induction purportedly recognized as Aseme Alapu.

They are said to be purportedly installed and presented to the Amadabo as Chiefs and Heads of Sokari (Cross-Brown) Chieftaincy House, Atamunotorudiari (Dupuyo-Brown) Chieftaincy House, Owupele-Brown Chieftaincy House, Tamunobere (Adum-Brown) Chieftaincy House, Goro-Brown Chieftaincy House, Goni-Brown Chieftaincy House, Animi-Minawari Chieftaincy House, Iyariari-Brown Chieftaincy House, and Papanye-Brown Chieftaincy House, all of Finima Community.
The 10th person, Abinye Owen Brown, was inducted and presented as Chief and Head of Abobo-Brown Chieftaincy House also of Finima.
The two-day event is reportedly in clear contempt of a court order in suit number: BNCC/RS/2/2025 which restrained Abinye Owen Brown, and every other person from being installed, crowned, presented or paraded as Wari-Alabo in Finima or Bonny Kingdom.
“IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AS FOLLOWS:
1. An Order restraining/stopping. the Defendant either by himself, privies, agents, servants or collaborator or in any name whatsoever from installing, crowning and presentation of the Defendant, ABINYE OWEN BROWN himself or any other person as a Wari-Alabo in Brown House, Finima Community of Bonny Kingdom on the 26th day of April, 2025 or any other day pending the hearing and determination of the substantive motion on notice.
2. An Order restraining the Defendant, ABINYE OWEN BROWN from parading and representing himself/themselves as a Wari-Alabo in Finima Community and Bonny Kingdom pending the hearing and determination of the motion.
Incidentally, all 10 men were presented as Wari-Alapu (plural for Wari-Alabo) including the defendant, Abinye Owen Brown, before being recognized Aseme Alapu.
This weekend’s activities follow closely on the heels of previous actions such as building of a palace in defiance to the King of Bonny Kingdom, alleged distortion of the history of the Brown Major Chieftaincy House, alleged prohibition of members of the House from participating in Bonny Kingdom activities, and alleged declaration of social media war against the rest of Bonny Kingdom.
Curiously, Aseme Alabo Dagogo Lambert Brown bears His Royal Highness, a sobriquet reserved exclusively for government recognized traditional rulers.

Kristina Reports could not confirm from the Rivers State Ministry of Chieftaincy and Community Affairs if he was entitled to this title as at the time of this report.
As if usurpation of the exclusive powers of the Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of Bonny Kingdom to create chieftaincy houses was not enough, the Amadabo also allegedly arbitrarily arrogated to himself the title of Aseme Se-Alabo (Ibani for aboriginal country chief), a title exclusively conferred on a chieftaincy house chief (Wari-Alabo) by the King of Bonny whenever he inducts such into the Bonny Chiefs Council.
Additionally, he arrogates to himself the sobriquet of Kongo XVII, a title knowledgeable members of the Bonny society find hard to understand given that the person identified as Kongo in Ibani history was allegedly a peasant fisherman and not a King or chief and reportedly had no connection with Finima Community.
Friday and Saturday, April 25 and 26, had Finima Community buzzing with funfair and celebration as the various families feted their now elevated leaders, but more importantly, the imminent unveiling of Finima Kingdom, a breakaway entity from Bonny Kingdom.
