Enugu State Government Launches Technical, Vocational Education Training for 300 Youths

Excitement is brewing in Enugu State as the government kicks off an ambitious Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program for three hundred youths, focusing on the vital skills of electrical and plumbing installations and maintenance.

During the launch, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Digital Economy and Micro, Small, and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs), Arinze Offiah expressed enthusiasm about the training, which he said is backed by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), and the C-STEMP (Construction Skills Training and Empowerment Project) Skills Training Centre.

“Over the next four months, participants will immerse themselves in hands-on experiences, gaining practical knowledge that can transform their futures.

“Sharing milestones like this with the vibrant Enugu SME community is truly gratifying,” Hon. Chilo-Offiah remarked.

“These initial steps are crucial for cultivating the next generation of industrial experts. The energy and commitment radiating from the classroom are inspiring, and we are thrilled to witness their dedication unfold.”

Offiah, who is also the Director General of Enugu Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME) Center, extended his gratitude to the State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, “for prioritizing vocational skills in his administration and fostering an environment where Ndi Enugu youth can thrive”.
