Emmanuel Dennis seals Brøndby IF move after explosive trial impresses club chiefs
Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis has officially joined Danish side Brøndby IF, signing a contract that runs until the summer of 2028.

The 28-year-old’s move comes after an impressive trial period at the club, leaving the coaching staff confident in his abilities.
He will wear the number 17 jersey at Brøndby IF.
Dennis wows during first week of training
The club’s director Benjamin Schmedes stated that Emmanuel had demonstrated over the past week, with remarkable clarity, that he possesses skills capable of creating more attacking opportunities—abilities not often seen in the Super League.
He praised Dennis for his speed, breakthrough power, and goal-scoring threat, adding that he also brings valuable experience from a high international level.
Schmedes also highlighted Emmanuel’s commitment to the club, noting that he had clearly expressed his desire to be at Brøndby and was ready to put in the effort needed to succeed, making him an exciting addition to the team.
Dennis eager to start his Brøndby journey
Having earned eight caps for Nigeria, Dennis has been without a club since leaving Nottingham Forest last summer.
His career has also seen him play for Club Brugge, FC Köln, and Watford. Now, he is set to make an impact in Denmark’s Superliga.
“I am very happy to have signed with the club. I have seen video clips of the fans. They have a lot of energy, and so do I. I really appreciate the club for giving me this opportunity, and I am very excited to get started. Hopefully we will achieve great things together,” Dennis said.
The forward added that his first week with the team had been “fantastic”, praising the quick chemistry he built with his new teammates.

He explained that the players had welcomed him warmly, making him feel at home immediately.
“Everyone has been kind and helpful, and I am really looking forward to playing alongside them on the same team,” he said.
Dennis is currently in England finalising his residence and work permit, with the club hoping to see him join the rest of the team once the paperwork is completed in February.
