Stakeholders from Ward 4, Ebubu Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State have extolled the developmental strides of the Governor Siminalayi Fubara led administration.
This was contained in a speech made available to newsmen during the commissioning of the Aleto-Ebubu-Eteo old Bori Road reconstructed by the Fubara led administration and commissioned by Governor of Abia State, Alex Oti.
Speaking on behalf of the stakeholders, the One-Eh Odido VI, His Royal Highness, Emere Godwin Chinwi, conveyed the people’s appreciation to Governor Fubara for reconstructing the road.
He described the massive turnout of his people as testament of their unreserved support for his administration after years of neglect by previous administrations.
“Ebubu community has been the only community that their secondary school remains unfenced till date.”
“Ebubu as the largest ward in Eleme is the only ward that has not tasted any political position in Eleme as Chairman, commissioner, House of Assembly member, or any higher political office.”
They appealed that Governor Fubara extend an arm of fellowship to them in some of the following areas, fencing and construction of Ebubu Secondary School and rehabilitation of Ebubu Health Centre built by the Chibuike Amaechi administration,
Appointment of illustrious sons of Ebubu into the State Executive Council and selection of someone from Ebubu for Local Government chairmanship, as well as recognition of the One-Eh Odido traditional stool.
On his part, a legal practitioner and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebubu, Justice Chichi said appeals to previous administrations to fix the road were unattended to but Governor Fubara fixed it in eight months.
He described Governor Fubara as one emotionally attached to development who should be encouraged and not distracted.
On her part, deputy leader of Eleme Legislative Assembly, Patience Dabor commended Governor Fubara for the success recorded in one year describing the reconstruction of the road as harbinger of improved economic activities.
