Nigerian skit maker Denilson Igwe has made startling claims against his former partner, Mark Angel, accusing him of misleading the public about the achievements of his protégé, Emmanuella. In a recent video from the Honest Bunch podcast, Denilson alleged that Mark Angel falsely claimed Emmanuella had bought a house for her parents in 2020, a claim that has since been scrutinized.
Denilson asserted that Emmanuella was unaware of the actual cost of construction materials and had no control over her social media accounts, which he claims are managed entirely by Mark Angel. He also criticized the living conditions of Emmanuella and another young star, Success, who are reportedly living with numerous adult males in Mark Angel’s household.
Further, Denilson revealed that he severed ties with Mark Angel after uncovering financial discrepancies. He alleged that despite Mark Angel’s monthly earnings of $160,000 from Facebook monetization, Emmanuella was paid only ₦20,000 monthly. Denilson also claimed that Mark did not compensate him for his work on the skits until 2016, and even then, he received just ₦50,000 after Mark had bought a new car.
These revelations cast a shadow on the transparency and fairness within the Mark Angel Comedy team, raising questions about the management of their finances and the treatment of their young stars.
