The lawmaker representing Degema/Bonny federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Randolph Brown has applauded the State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike for insisting that a proper primary was conducted for the Degema/Bonny federal constituency seat.

“His Excellency, Governor Nyesom Wike is a just man who wants the best for Rivers people, especially the good people of Degema/Bonny federal constituency and has continued to provide quality leadership and direction for the PDP”.

“He will not allow anyone to bring the party into disrepute or take the people of Degema/Bonny federal constituency for a ride. I am confident in his ability to see to it that a proper primary is done tomorrow”.

Hon. Brown was reacting to the purported primary held today in Degema, Degema Local Government Area where his rival, Dr. Farah Dagogo was allegedly declared the winner in his (Brown’s) absence.

Farah represents Degema constituency in the State House of Assembly and is the Chairman, House Committee on Education.

Both men are contending for the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to fly its flag for the Degema/Bonny federal constituency election come 2019.

Brown told Kristina Reports that “there was no election. It’s manipulation”.

“As per today’s happenings at Degema, Bonny people didn’t participate. Only 12 Bonny and 40 Degema people were there”.

He disclosed that the leadership of the PDP in Bonny LGA led by the State Commissioner for Local Governments, Hon. Rodaford Longjohn has notified the party leadership in the State.

He called on his supporters to remain calm as he expressed confidence in Governor Wike’s ability to ensure the right thing was done.
