All may not be well in Etche Local Government Area where one of the image makers of the Local Government Chairman, Divine Nnochiri Obiajunwa just resigned his appointment minutes ago.

Kristina Reports learnt that Obiajunwa, who tendered his resignation as Deputy Press Secretary to his erstwhile boss, Obinna Anyanwu, this afternoon, did not give any reasons for throwing in the towel.

The resignation letter is reproduced below:  

“LETTER OF RESIGNATION

I hereby write to notify you of the resolve to withdraw my services from being the DEPUTY PRESS SECRETARY to the Executive Chairman, Etche Local Government Council, Rivers State, on grounds of personal conviction and overwhelming conjectures.

2. The foregoing however, does not in anyway whatsoever obliterate my commitment, support and unwavering loyalty to our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. I remain unshakably answerable to the PDP and to the welfare of our endearing Local Government.

3. I am grateful for the opportunities of personal growth that this window of service availed me while it lasted. May God continue to bless the Etche ethnic nationality together with its leadership framework.

 4. Thank You.

Efforts by Kristina Reports to reach the Etche LG Council boss, Obinna Anyanwu for his reaction to this development have not yielded any result yet as he was yet to return several calls to his mobile line or short message service (SMS) sent to him.

Divine Nnochiri Obiajunwa, a former National President of the National Union of Rivers State Students (NURSS), University of Abuja Chapter, is an alumni of the University of Abuja, Abuja, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Anthropology, has been a frontline advocate for good governance in Etche LGA, in particular, and Rivers State, in general.

The former Deputy Press Secretary to the Etche Local Government Chairman, who hails from Umuakuru Igbo-Etche in Etche LGA, and President of Advocacy Media Group, two times Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to successive Caretaker Chairmen of Etche LGA, and a former Chief Press Secretary to the ELGA Caretaker Chairman, is currently pursuing a Post Graduate Degree (PGD) in Mass Communication at the Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt.
