A former Commissioner for Transport in Rivers State and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bonny Local Government Area, George Tolofari has declared his support for Tonye Dele Cole as the candidate of the party for the 2019 governorship election in the state.
Further to this he has called on his supporters and party faithful to queue behind Cole, who has been chosen by the Minister of Transport, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, who is also the leader of the party in the State and the South-South.
He posited that an epochal threshold as this provided ample opportunity to demonstrate loyalty to the leader of the Party in the State and to the leader of the Party at the national level, President Muhammadu Buhari.
“This is the time to follow the leader. This is the time to practice the slogan, “Amaechi leads, we follow”, the former House of Assembly member said.
“Loyalty is not only professed or exhibited when you’re benefiting from a leader or system. True test of loyalty is where a leader or system does not benefit you but you still believe tomorrow will be better and you have faith and follow. That is true test of loyalty”
“Let us follow now because our tomorrow will be better. Thank you brothers and sisters,” he said.
