He stated that the Jumbo Major House, which he described as the biggest chieftaincy house in Bonny Kingdom, is not only blessed to be part of the King’s lineage maternally but has benefitted immensely from his magnanimity, largesse and wisdom, stressing that the stability and conviviality being witnessed in the House today was as a result of his fatherly advice and guidance.

Jumbo, who is also a retired Director in the Rivers State Government, praised the Amanyanabo of Bonny Kingdom for his strategic vision of attracting multifaceted investments and sustainable development which, according to him has continued to boost the economy of the area and improve the lives of the people.

King Dr. Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, CON, JP, Perekule XI, who is the direct descendant of the late King Eugene William Dappa Pepple II, Perekule IX, succeeded his uncle, King Secondus Opuada Pepple, Perekule X in December 1996.

Amaopusenibo Sodienye Jumbo pointed out that in the course of the reign of King Pepple III, Bonny Kingdom, a natural kingdom with a history over 300 years, has witnessed visible transformation such as steady electricity, water supply, among others, and currently hosts a huge chunk of the nation’s economic behemoths, thus making a bustling economic hub.

He asserted that the fact that the King’s paternal grandmother, Her Majesty, Queen William Dappa Pepple, nee Orumbie, hails from the Orumbie Burusu of Jumbo Major House, a status that the House relishes so much, reinforces the close ties the House has with the Perekule Royal Family.
