The PENGASSAN officials also presented an ambulance they donated to the Finima Health Centre, which according to them was amplify the operational capabilities of the health centre to render qualitative health care services to the people of Finima.

“We appreciate the thoughts you have for Finima; we appreciate that you always carry Finima along as hosts of ExxonMobil, please keep the spirit on.”

“What you are doing is in line with the legacy PENGASSAN has set over the years. You should keep the heritage and transmit it from generation to generation.”

The traditional ruler used the occasion to harp on the need for reflection, empathy and kindness in human interactions, stressing that this was necessary given the fact that human beings have been divested of the power to know what the future holds, noting that God had reserved such omniscience exclusively for himself.

“One thing God has done is nobody knows tomorrow. Tomorrow is important because it is unknown. This puts us in a situation to be careful. Tomorrow has so much in store for us all but we need to understand that what we do today will affect us tomorrow. We need to be kind to one another and to our community.”

He expressed the hope that the Finima Health Centre will maximize use of ambulance donated by PENGASSAN, while commending Mobil Producing Nigeria Limited (MPN) for improving the standard of the Health Centre in lieu of its upgrade to a cottage hospital.

Aseme Alabo Brown, however, urged MPN to do more by collaborating with Finima Community to actualize the upgrade of the Finima Health Centre to a cottage hospital, asserting that all necessary regulatory compliance requirements should be addressed to realize this expectation for the benefit of Finima Community.
