Moses Usor and Samuel Adeniran Fire LASK to 4-1 Comeback Win, Extend Perfect Bundesliga Start
Moses Usor and Samuel Adeniran delivered world-class performances once again to inspire LASK to a dominant comeback victory over SV Ried in round 3 of the Austrian Bundesliga.
If you were expecting a slow afternoon at the Raiffeisen Arena, the opening minutes completely shattered those expectations.
The hosts were stunned barely nine minutes in when Niama Sissoko finished off a Stefan Schwab delivery to give the visitors an early shock lead.
But if there is one thing this squad has proved early this season, it is that they do not panic under pressure.
Die Schwarz-Weißen responded almost instantly to tilt the momentum back in their favor. Just sixty seconds after falling behind, Adeniran restored parity by coolly converting a precise setup from Usor to make it 1–1.
The complete turnaround took less than ten minutes to materialise. In the 18th minute, Usor turned from provider to goalscorer, meeting Andrés Andrade’s pass to slot home and put Die Landstraßler 2–1 ahead.
Adeniran then double-downed on his hot streak in the 27th minute, completing his brace to give his side a commanding 3–1 cushion going into the half-time break.
The pressure from the home side did not relent after the restart. Christoph Lang added a fourth goal in the 58th minute, finishing off Usor’s second assist of the match to cap off a thrilling offensive display in front of 14,507 spectators.
The result marked a historic 70th Upper Austria derby victory for the The Black-and-Whites.
Both Nigerian forwards received well-earned ovations when they were substituted in the second half—Adeniran making way for Lang in the 55th minute, and Usor exiting for Krystof Danek eight minutes later.
