Akanbi Lands in Saudi Arabia with Al-Jabalain FC
Experienced winger Rasheed Akanbi has officially opened a new chapter in his career after completing a free agent transfer to Saudi First Division outfit Al-Jabalain FC on August 13, 2026.
The 27-year-old had been without a club since leaving Turkish 1. Lig side Boluspor in April 2026, where he featured 32 times during the 2025/26 campaign, recording four goals and five assists.

Meanwhile, in Greece, APS Panthrakikos have boosted their frontline options ahead of the 2026/27 Superbet League 2 season with the signing of 19-year-old Nigerian talent Chilem Ignatius.
The left-footed winger arrives in Komotini following an impressive development spell in Estonia with JK Tammeka.
After initially scoring four goals in 11 outings for Tammeka’s U21 side, Ignatius earned a quick promotion to the senior team, where he went on to register five goals and five assists in 40 appearances.
Known for his speed, technical sharpness, and direct attacking style, the teenager steps into Greek football aiming to make an immediate impact for the Green and Whites.
