Swedish Giants AIK Snap Up Nigerian Prodigy Oreoluwa Agbenla as Shedrack Egboh Earns Senior Shot

Swedish top-flight outfit AIK Fotboll have secured the signature of rising Nigerian midfielder Oreoluwa Agbenla from Beyond Limits FA.

The 18-year-old talent has committed his future to the Allsvenskan side on a long-term contract running through December 31, 2030.

While signed to a senior contract, Agbenla will initially integrate into AIK’s academy setup to adapt to life and football in Sweden.

Born on July 12, 2008, Agbenla has earned recognition as one of Nigeria’s brightest midfield prospects due to his tactical maturity and all-round skill set:

AIK Head of Recruitment, Miika Takkula, revealed the club had been tracking the midfielder since early 2025, including close scouting during his standout campaign at the Gothia Cup. Agbenla officially finalized the transfer after receiving his work permit.

Shedrack Egboh Earns First-Team Call-Up

In a double boost for Nigerian talent, AIK also announced that winger Shedrack Egboh has been invited to train with the men’s senior squad at Karlberg.

On loan from Inspire Sports Academy, Egboh earned the opportunity following an impressive stint with AIK’s P19 side during Week 29.

The youngster will now look to stake a claim for a permanent contract with the Swedish club.
