Quadri Adediran was once again the difference maker for Artis Brno as they returned to winning ways with a solid 2-0 victory over Opava at the Simple Arena.

The 25-year-old opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a well-placed header that set the tone for the match. His goal gave Artis Brno control early on, and they carried that narrow lead into halftime.

In the second half, Ondrej Coudek added a second goal to confirm all three points for the visitors.

The result was important for Artis Brno as they bounced back from recent setbacks in the Czech National Football League.

Quadri Adediran has now scored four goals in his last seven appearances, taking his league tally to 15 goals in 24 matches.

Across all competitions, he has 16 goals in 28 games, showing consistent form for Artis Brno this season.

The win also pushed Artis Brno up to third place on the table with 49 points, keeping their push for a strong finish alive with just a few games left.

Olusegun assist not enough in Russian Premier League setback

In Russia, Olakunle Olusegun had a mixed outing as he provided an assist for Nizhny Novgorod but still ended on the losing side against CSKA Moscow.

Olusegun played a key role just before halftime, setting up Daniil Lesovoy to give Nizhny Novgorod the lead at the Sovcombank Arena. However, the advantage did not last.

CSKA Moscow fought back late in the game, scoring twice within a short span through Danila Kozlov and Imran Firov to turn the match around and secure a 2-1 victory.

The defeat deepened the struggles of Nizhny Novgorod in the Russian Premier League.

The team has now gone eight matches without a win, including six defeats and two draws, leaving them in 15th position with 22 points.

Olusegun has contributed two assists and five goals in the league this season, along with another goal in the Russian Cup, bringing his total goal contributions to eight.

Despite the loss, his creative influence remains an important part of the team’s attacking play.
