Abia Commissions $35m Beverage Plant in Aba, Signals Industrial Revival

The Abia State Government has commissioned a multimillion-dollar beverage production facility in Aba, marking a significant boost to industrial growth in the state.

The facility, owned by Ultimum Beverages and developed by the Kadji Group, is valued at over $35 million, with projections to scale up investment to $100 million in the coming years.

Speaking during the commissioning, the state government described the project as a strong endorsement of ongoing efforts to reposition Abia as a viable destination for investors.

According to the government, the investment reflects renewed confidence in the state’s economic direction since 2023, driven by improvements in infrastructure, enhanced security, and reforms aimed at creating a more business-friendly environment.

“This project is not just about the numbers; it is a clear indication that Abia has regained its status as a hub for enterprise and innovation,” the statement noted.

The government also commended the Kadji Group for its commitment to Aba, widely regarded as the commercial nerve centre of the state, and for contributing to job creation and economic expansion.

“This investment shows that serious investors recognise environments where growth is guaranteed,” the statement added, assuring that the state would continue to protect and support businesses operating within its territory.

The commissioning of the facility is expected to generate employment opportunities, stimulate local production, and further position Aba as a key industrial city in Nigeria.

Authorities say the move aligns with broader plans to attract more large-scale investments and sustain economic development across the state.
