Despite her clinical finish at the Stadio Tre Fontane, Roma could not hold onto their narrow lead, eventually settling for a 1-1 draw.
The match started as a very tight contest, with both defenses holding firm throughout the first half.
Neither side managed to break the deadlock before the interval, leading to a scoreless opening period. However, the momentum shifted quickly after the break thanks to Babajide’s sharp instincts.
Just seven minutes into the second half, the 27-year-old forward found the breakthrough. Her goal put Roma in front and looked set to give them a vital advantage in the first leg of this semifinal clash.
Impressive Stats for the Super Falcons Forward
This latest goal brings Babajide’s total goal contributions for the season to seven. She has been a consistent threat across multiple competitions, recording goals and assists in Serie A Femminile, the Women’s Champions League, and now the Coppa Italia Women.

Babajide played 77 minutes of the encounter before being substituted for Emilie Haavi.
Unfortunately for the home side, the lead vanished in the final moments of the game. Inter Milan earned a penalty just three minutes before stoppage time, which Tessa Wullaert converted to level the scores.
Roma will now look ahead to the second leg on March 28. Before that decisive rematch, they return their focus to Serie A Femminile fixtures against Fiorentina and Lazio.
