Chukwueze Sparks Fulham Comeback After AFCON Return
Just 13 minutes later, the 26-year-old displayed calm finishing, controlling Joachim Andersen’s long pass before slotting the ball past Bart Verbruggen to level the scores at 1-1.
His goal marked another impressive contribution, giving him seven goal contributions this season – three goals and four assists.
Brighton had initially taken the lead through Yasin Ayari, who fired into the top corner in the 28th minute after Raul Jimenez had tested Verbruggen earlier.

Fulham had to survive some late pressure, with Timothy Castagne blocking Ferdi Kadioglu on the line. Danny Welbeck thought he had restored Brighton’s lead, but his strike was ruled out for offside after a VAR review.
Harry Wilson Steals Victory in Stoppage Time
With the game seemingly heading for a draw, Welsh midfielder Harry Wilson delivered a stunning free-kick in the second minute of stoppage time, sending Craven Cottage into so much excitement.
The 2-1 victory moves Fulham into the top half of the Premier League table and extends Brighton’s winless streak at Fulham’s ground.
Samuel Chukwueze not only marked his AFCON return with a goal but also reminded fans of his ability to change games in crucial moments.
