Emergency Response: LG Chairman Hastens Bonny Fire Station, Concludes Retraining of Personnel
In a frantic effort to fully activate the Bonny Fire Station to commence full operations, the Bonny Local Government is vigorously pursuing the successful completion of comprehensive refresher training programmes for firefighters designated to man the facility.
The practical demonstrations aspect of the trainings, which held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at the Bonny Fire Station along King Asimini Bypass, Bonny, was supervised by officials of the Federal Fire Service.

During the sessions, the trainees showcased improved competencies in fire prevention, emergency response, and operational readiness, marking a significant milestone in strengthening emergency response services within Bonny LGA.
Speaking at the brief event, Chairman of Bonny LGA, Abinye Pepple commended the firefighters for their dedication, professionalism, and preparedness to serve.

Represented by the Secretary of the Local Government, Tamunotonye Jumbo, the Bonny LGA boss reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to timely commencement of full operations at the Fire Station.
He assured continued support towards improved welfare, capacity building, and the overall safety of Bonny residents.








He expressed profound appreciation to the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) for its invaluable partnership and sustained contributions towards enhancing emergency response and safety infrastructure within the LGA.
