Nigeria at 65: Edward Hart Urges Greater Support for Traditional Rulers
Chairman of the Bonny Kingdom Development Committee (BKDC), Amaopusenibo Sir Amaririgha Edward Hart, has extended his goodwill message to Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 65th Independence Anniversary, stressing the urgent need for stronger support for traditional rulers.
In a statement made available to Kristina Reports, Sir Edward described the anniversary as a celebration of freedom but noted that true peace and security can only be achieved when traditional rulers are given the recognition and backing they deserve.

“Nigeria can combat insecurity and enjoy lasting peace if the needed support to our traditional councils is prioritised. Recognising them as the real pilots of all localities and putting them first will strengthen the fight against insecurity”.
He affirmed that the Bonny Kingdom Development Committee remains committed to proffering solutions that enhance security and foster development in Bonny Kingdom and across Nigeria.
“BKDC does not only work to develop Bonny Kingdom but also designs strategies that can help in addressing insecurity here and in Nigeria at large”.
He concluded by praying for the nation, expressing optimism that Nigeria will soon become a country where peace and prosperity prevail.
