In furtherance of its efforts to ease access for the Diamond Jubilee Celebration of the Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of Bonny Kingdom, the Bodo-Bonny Road will be open to commuters from Monday, June 9, 2025.

Chairman of the Bonny Kingdom Development Committee (BKDC), Amairigha Hart disclosed this on Saturday, June 7, 2025 to Kristina Reports in Bonny, Rivers State.

He informed that the road will be open for 15 days, emphasizing that commuters will, however, require clearance from the King Perekule Palace, Bonny to be granted access, explaining that this is required for security reasons.

Interested commuters are to contact Mr. Adolphus Pepple on 08080576656 and provide details such as the vehicle type, registration number and driver’s name.

According to him, the arrangement is to create ease of access to those who wish to visit Bonny Island to felicitation with the referred Monarch on his 60th Birthday Anniversary.

“You know our King is loved globally and many people would want to visit Bonny Kingdom to celebrate with him at a time like this; that’s why we’re doing this.”

“We appreciate Julius Berger Nigeria for obliging us in this regard. We also are grateful in advance to our people for cooperating with us to make this arrangement hitchfree.”

Hart assured that the Bonny Kingdom Development Committee is on top of its game to ensure that every visitor to Bonny enjoys an immersive and memorable experience during this celebration.
