As Christians across globe commemorate the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Chief and Head of the Dan-Jumbo Chieftaincy House o Grand Bonny Kingdom, Se-Alabo Clinton Ibiwari Gibson Dan-Jumbo, Jene IV, has called on citizens to embrace the spirit of Easter as a beacon of unity, love, and renewal.

In a goodwill message on Friday, April 18, 2025, the traditional ruler described Easter as a sacred reminder that true leadership is rooted in service, sacrifice, and the collective pursuit of peace and progress.

“The Easter season reminds us of the power of compassion, forgiveness, and unity. It is a call to rise above division and work together for the betterment of our communities”.

As the head of one of the respected traditional houses in Grand Bonny, Se-Alabo Clinton Dan-Jumbo reaffirmed his commitment to promoting justice, youth development, and cultural preservation, principles he said are in line with the values Easter teaches.

“In the Dan-Jumbo Chieftaincy, we continue to champion values that uplift our people—just as Easter uplifts the soul. This season should inspire us all to renew our commitments to peace, equity, and shared prosperity,”.

He further urged the people of Bonny Kingdom and Nigerians at large to use the Easter celebration to strengthen family bonds, support the vulnerable, and contribute meaningfully to community development.

“As we mark Good Friday and celebrate Easter, may this sacred season guide our actions, renew our spirits, and unify our hearts”.
