Rivers Angels FC got a commanding 3-0 victory over Sunshine Queens FC at the Adokiye Amiesika Stadium on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
Adugbe Olamide scored a brace while Okpe Blessing scored a screamer from 30 yards out as the Jewel of Rivers got all three points and returned to winning ways after a disappointing result against Delta Queens last week.
Rivers Angels FC played out a goalless draw in the first half against Sunshine Queens FC but converted from the spot in the second half through Adugbe Olamide. Okpe Blessing then fired in a screamer from 30 yards to double the lead before Olamide went it for a brace and tripled the lead, sealing the victory for her side.
The Jewels of Rivers will travel to Bayelsa for their Matchday five encounter against Bayelsa Queens FC and will be looking to keep the momentum going.
