Spain came out unscathed against the European Champions after a 1-0 victory at Stadium Australia in Sydney, on Sunday, to win their very first Women’s World Cup Title in the first time of asking.
23-year Old Spain Captain, Olga Carmona’s first-half goal proved the difference at the blast of the final whistle.
England’s glimmer of hope was shut after they failed to find an equaliser despite Mary Earps’ save of Jenni Hermoso’s Penalty shot in the 69th minute.
Spain’s youngster, Salma Paralluelo was named The FIFA Best Young Player becoming the first Spanish player to be named Young Player of the Tournament at a World Cup.

At the U20 final against Japan, she scored two goals leasing her side to glory. Salma also won the U17 World Cup and U17 Euros in 2018. Serial Winner.
Spain became the fifth team to win the FIFA Women’s World Cup, after USA (Four), Germany (two), Norway (one) and Japan (one). Prior to this year’s edition, Spain had only ever won one FIFA Women’s World Cup match.
Spain’s Olga Carmona became the seventh player to score in both the semi-final and final at a single FIFA Women’s World Cup, and the first since Carli Lloyd for USA in 2015. Aged 23 years and 69 days, Carmona is the fourth-youngest player to score in the final.
